A Systems Engineering Boot Camp developed by IDEA for rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors was held at Drake State Community and Technical College. The class featured hands-on simulations of rockets and spacecraft to demonstrate STEM principles in a fun and stimulating day-long adventure.
Chris Crumbly, IDEA Director, noted the objective of the Boot Camp was to introduce the students to new concepts in an exciting way that spur an interest in STEM careers. Looks like some potential future rocket scientists!
